Volunteer in Cambodia

Khmer-V provides many options for your accommodation. Mostly volunteers who select the project in a city, they can have a variety of options for the accommodation. If you select a project in a province within countryside, you can only have a choice is to stay at local home. However the volunteering within the provincial town is also possible to stay at guesthouse and local appartment or homestay.

After picking up form the international air port in Phnom Penh, Khmer-V will take you to your accommodation as you have booked. You may also make your own choice to find a suitable accommodation according to your available financial budget and your requirements. The following is offered:

Staying in a guesthouse, it can make life easier and especially if you are in Cambodia at first time. Guesthouses are usually private and comfortable. If you would prefer to stay in a guesthouse we will provide you addresses of reasonable and recommendable guesthouses or we can arrange it for you directly.

Staying with a local family can make your trip meaningful and easier than staying in a guesthouse, because volunteers can interact with the members of that family. They may also can learn more about Khmer family culture and make the stay in this country more interesting and a more genuine experience of Cambodian life style. The fees for homestay also included food. Khmer-V will find a friendly host family and place to stay for you at anywhere applicable and closedly to your volunteering placement.

You may also prefer to find your own apartment or share a room someone with. Prices vary for this, if you find an apartment on your own, you would probably pay at least US$150 - $300 per month (upon near or far from the city center and bisuness center or zone), not including utilities. This may be a good option for your planning to stay longer than 5 or 6 weeks in the country.
